Goldman Sachs has long had a presence in Amsterdam for its banking and markets business, but its most significant Dutch footprint came in 2022, when it completed the acquisition of NN Investment Partners, the asset manager based in The Hague that had grown out of Dutch insurer NN Group. That business was integrated into Goldman Sachs Asset Management, making The Hague an important European location for the firm and a centre of expertise in sustainable investing within public markets. For finance students, this means Goldman Sachs offers both classic investment banking exposure through its Amsterdam office and asset management roles through the former NN IP operation in The Hague.Goldman Sachs is al langer aanwezig in Amsterdam met bankieren en markets, maar de belangrijkste Nederlandse stap kwam in 2022, toen de overname van NN Investment Partners werd afgerond. Deze vermogensbeheerder, gevestigd in Den Haag en voortgekomen uit de Nederlandse verzekeraar NN Group, werd geïntegreerd in Goldman Sachs Asset Management.
