Stibbe was founded in 1911 when David Stibbe opened a law practice on the Herengracht in Amsterdam. Through mergers, including with the Brussels firm Simont & Simont in 1991 and the Paris firm Monahan & Duhot in 1993, it grew into an internationally oriented Benelux firm, later adding a Luxembourg office in 2010.Stibbe werd in 1911 opgericht toen David Stibbe een advocatenpraktijk begon aan de Herengracht in Amsterdam. Door fusies, onder meer met het Brusselse kantoor Simont & Simont in 1991 en het Parijse kantoor Monahan & Duhot in 1993, groeide het uit tot een internationaal georienteerd Benelux-kantoor, met in 2010 ook een vestiging in Luxemburg.
