The organisation
What Achmea Investment Management does
Achmea Investment Management is the institutional asset manager of the Achmea group, the Dutch insurer behind brands such as Centraal Beheer and Zilveren Kruis. The firm grew out of Achmea's long-standing pension and investment activities, previously operating under the name Syntrus Achmea Vermogensbeheer before it was rebranded. It manages investments for pension funds and other institutional investors across fixed income, equities and multi-asset strategies, and is one of the larger providers of fiduciary management in the Dutch market. Achmea Investment Management operates as a distinct business within the wider Achmea group, which is itself majority owned by the member association Vereniging Achmea alongside Rabobank as a strategic shareholder.
