The organisation
What Aegon Asset Management does
Aegon Asset Management is the international asset manager of the Aegon group, a Dutch financial services company with roots as an insurer going back to the nineteenth century. Aegon Asset Management itself was established as a separate asset management business in the late 1980s and invests across fixed income, equities, real assets and multi-asset strategies for both Aegon's own insurance balance sheets and external institutional and retail clients. It operates internationally, with investment teams in the Netherlands, the United States and the United Kingdom, among other locations. Following Aegon's 2023 combination of its Dutch insurance operations with a.s.r., Aegon Asset Management remained a wholly owned part of Aegon and continues to manage part of the combined group's investments under a long-term agreement.
