What PGGM does

PGGM is a Dutch pension executor whose origins go back to a pension fund for the healthcare and social work sector founded in 1969. In 2008 the fund's policy-setting and execution functions were split: the fund itself continued as Stichting Pensioenfonds Zorg en Welzijn (PFZW), while a newly formed cooperative, PGGM, took over asset management and pension administration on its behalf. PGGM invests pension contributions across equities, fixed income, real estate, infrastructure and other asset classes, and also administers pensions and provides pension services to a small number of other Dutch pension funds. In 2024 PGGM took over pension administration for PMT from fellow pension executor MN, expanding the number of participants it serves.
