Lexence was established on 1 February 1992, when the predecessor firm Van Schoonhoven In 't Veld opened in Amsterdam, founded by three lawyers and a junior civil-law notary. Real estate has grown into one of the firm's defining specialisations, alongside corporate law and notarial services.Lexence werd op 1 februari 1992 opgericht, toen de voorloper Van Schoonhoven In 't Veld in Amsterdam van start ging, opgericht door drie advocaten en een kandidaat-notaris. Vastgoed groeide uit tot een van de kenmerkende specialisaties van het kantoor, naast ondernemingsrecht en notariele dienstverlening.
