Stek's Corporate Energy practice, working closely with partners Reijnoud Homveld, Coen Thomas and Claudia Beele, is looking for an associate with 5 to 7 years of commercial law experience to work on solar, wind, geothermal, biogas, battery storage and hydrogen projects.

What you will do

  • Advise developers, investors and large energy companies on buying or selling stakes in sustainable energy projects or companies
  • Advise banks and developers on project financing for renewable energy projects
  • Draft and negotiate commercial contracts daily, including cooperation agreements, supply contracts, EPC and maintenance contracts and Power Purchase Agreements
  • Work as part of an integrated energy team alongside colleagues from Banking & Finance and Regulatory on solar, wind, geothermal, biogas, battery storage, hydrogen and EV infrastructure projects

What we are looking for

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in commercial law practice
  • Bachelor's and master's degree transcripts
  • Specific prior experience in the energy sector is not a must, an interest in developing this expertise is valued
  • Willingness to complete a structured assessment, including cognitive testing and a personality questionnaire, as part of the selection process

About Stek

An Amsterdam firm on the Leidseplein, with lawyer counts reported between roughly 60 and 70 and total staff estimated around 100.
